We feel very blessed to have very knowledgeable people on staff who are eager to help you find what’s right for your own individual health needs. - Charlene Toews
Providing products and services that promote good health just comes naturally for Charlene Toews. The co-owner of O' Naturelle says learning about herbs and vitamins has been a passion of hers for a long time. "It became a really big focus two years ago when I got sick and they helped me get better again," she says.
Operating a store that brings that same hope to others is like living the dream, Toews says. Located in the 4th Ave. mall in Altona, the new store opened its doors Nov. 3 and offers herbs, vitamins and much more.
Toews says customers will find a great selection of products by Norwex, Nature's Sunshine and Sunny Day. "We also sell organic and spelt flours, organic cane sugar and also gluten free food," she says.
"We feel very blessed to have very knowledgeable people on staff who are eager to help you find what's right for your own individual health needs. Katie Hildebrand, for example, came to us with years of experience in vitamins and herbs and she can help you find exactly what you're looking for."
Consultants like Jen Penner and Florence Dyck offer free iridology services several times a month by appointment. "Florence and Jenn have become real mentors to me," Toews says, adding that both women have decades of experience between them.
"They can detect all kinds of deficiencies and problems just by studying the iris of the eye," she says.
"And they can suggest lifestyle changes and different products you can use that will get you back on track again and prevent problems down the road."
Dyck says they believe in a whole person approach when it comes to health, and says the body always lets us know when there's a problem.
"You can tell so much by just studying someone's face or reading their body language as to what kind of trouble a person may potentially have with their health," she says. O' Naturelle also offers free bio feedback readings through a Zyto compass. By placing the hand on the compass cradle, she said the device stimulates the body and the software is able to measure and analyze your specific nutritional needs.
"It's completely safe and painless," Toews says. "It's amazingly accurate. It's another free service we provide to our customers."
