Altona teams captured three provincial baseball titles last weekend.

The teams won three championships - "Pee Wee "AA", Bantam "A" and Midget "AA".

This was the second consecutive Midget "AA" title for Altona which beat Blumenort 4-3 in Morden.

The Pee Wee "AA"team won its championship in Cartwright, defeating Brandon 10-3 while the Bantam "A" team beat Blumenort 7-5 in Brandon.

The Elmwood Giants also defended their 2009 crown, winning the Senior "AA" All-Stars championship. The provincial win this year means that they will attend the Western Canada Senior "AA" Championships in 2011. By winning last year's provincial title, they earned the right to go to the Western Canada championships this year in Muenster, Saskatchewan.

For the Pee Wee "AA", Bantam "AA" and Midget "AA" provincial champions, their wins this weekend mean that their season will continue, as the three teams (Altona at Pee Wee and Midget "AA" and Portage at Bantam "AA") will all compete in the Western Canadian "AA" Championships in Newton, B.C., August 12-15.
